About GENERAL DUTY ASSISTANT

General Duty Assistants (GDAs) usually work in a hospital environment but may work at homes of sick patients and may be called by similar names such as Orderlies, Nursing Assistants, Nursing Aides or Bedside Assistants. Internationally, they are usually called Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Assistants.
